GATEWAI to learning
Pratt-SILS & Brooklyn Historical Society - A Partnership for Education & Training Pratt MSLIS Students in the Field of Archives
The program offers students an exceptional opportunity to complete an archives certificate program within their MSLIS degree and receive scholarship and program benefits made possible through this IMLS grant.
We are now accepting applications for fall 2005 through summer 2006
-
Be one of the
30 Pratt-SILS students who will complete their M.S. in L.I.S degree, complete an internship at BHS, earn an archives certificate, gain the knowledge and skills to be an effective professional archivist and secure a position in the field. GATEWAI provides an important opportunity for minority students to become better represented in the field and to benefit from an innovative archives program that reflects developments in digital technology for archives in global contexts and outreach to communities viewed from the broad field of cultural informatics.
If you are a matriculated student in Pratt-SILS MSLIS degree program with 12 or more credits to complete and you are excited about a new archives vision for the 21st century, then we encourage you to be part of Pratt's GATEWAI program.  Fill out and submit the application form posted on this Web site.
